FG Disburses Second Installment of ₦35,000 Wage Award Arrears

The Federal Government has disbursed the second installment of the ₦35,000 wage award arrears owed to federal civil servants.

In a statement released on Friday in Abuja, the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) confirmed the payment, noting that one month had previously been settled out of the five-month backlog.

The statement, signed by Director of Press and Public Relations, Bawa Mokwa, clarified that with the latest disbursement, three tranches remain to fully clear the outstanding wage award.

The OAGF also addressed recent claims suggesting the government had abandoned the payments, stating that the Federal Government remains committed to settling the arrears in monthly installments of ₦35,000 until the full amount is paid.
